HE the Foreign Minister Participates in Ministerial Meeting on Syria

HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani took part Saturday in the international ministerial meeting, which was held in Swiss Lausanne to discuss Syrian crisis and possibilities for ceasefire in war torn country. 
US Secretary of State John Kerry, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubair and Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu participated in the international talks on Syria along with foreign ministers of Jordan, Iraq, Iran and Egypt in addition to the UN Envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura. 
In remarks to QNA following the meeting, HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed the importance of immediate cessation of the bombing on Syrian cities and ending the humanitarian tragedy in Aleppo and other parts of Syria. 
HE the Minister added that the insistence of the Syrian regime on committing crimes against humanity and on violence and bombing is the biggest proof of disbelief in the political solution, which the State of Qatar sees as the only way to end the Syrian crisis. 
He reiterated Qatar's firm position against terrorism and violence in all their forms and manifestations. He also stressed on the State of Qatar's, support to the Syrian people.
